Autumn Winter 10 review Isabella Oliver

Isabella Oliver
I discovered this duo by accident last April and immediately ordered two of their very T Band flattering jersey dresses in jewel colours Navy (a nod to Chanel) and Green (a nod to the Irish rugby team) from their S/S 2010, 365 range. Their ranges are classy, comfortable and very easy to wear and all of them flit between day and evening very well, in block colours that are flattering and timeless. The ranges go up to a size G which is supposed to be a 20 but I would say they are more a 22, and the reviews on the website concur with my assessment. Their clothes come beautifully packaged and are very reasonable. I bought one dress for £55 and the other oddly for £44.25, items over £99 come with free postage. They also have a very chic maternity range.

Anyway onto their AW range which can be viewed easily in magazine form on their website www.isabellaoliver.com.

I love their coats and jackets, in particular The Crombie Coat (£249) which comes in white (pictured below left), olive and caviar black. Also on my wish list is The Smoking Jacket in Berry (pictured below right) also comes in Caviar Black, which would be perfect with jeans and a white shirt or T Shirt at £189 it is not cheap but a definite investment piece. .

No self respecting Rubenissta should be without a Classic Wrap dress (above left) which comes in 3 colours – Caviar Black, Lagoon (and my all time favourite in both dresses and wine), Merlot, which will flatter any shape. Perfect for work and that sneaky wine afterwards and, at £99 won’t break the bank too much. I also adore the Hipster Jersey Dress in Dark Heather Grey (above right) also in Black and vivid Pink which gives that understated rock chick look, and at £89 you don’t need a rock star on your arm to pay for it (but it always helps!).
As you have by now concluded I love this range and hopefully you can see why.

You – and enthusiastic reviews on Mumsnet – have persuaded me I should try an IO Wrap dress – but now can’t decide between ‘classic’ black and Lagoon. Reds and pinks don’t suit my complexion. If relevant, I’m blonde with medium colouring. Don’t usually do all-over bright colour – prefer touches of it. But worried the black may be a bit too ’safe’/ boring. Any thoughts?

Classic black will never go out of fashion. I think the blue will be fine. Try the blue first and they will always exchange or refund if its too bright.

I love colour go for it.
